In January 2007, Akela Pharma acquired PharmaForm L.L.C., a privately owned and operated contract pharmaceutical manufacturing firm based in Austin, Texas. PharmaForm brings to AKELA Pharma a vast array of pharmaceutical science technologies and over 80 years of scientific expertise coupled with valuable platform and product technologies which will strengthen and broaden AKELA’s product pipeline. Ultimately this partnership has elevated AKELA’s profile in the world’s most important pharmaceutical and investment marketplace.
PharmaForm L.L.C., founded 1996, has built an internationally reputation for delivering novel solutions to challenging problems in pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and analytical testing. The company provides contract services for clients varying from start ups to multinational pharmaceutical organizations.

PharmaForm’s newly built, state of the art facility is approximately 40,000 square feet which includes a 9,000 square foot warehouse that is temperature controlled and continuously monitored. All company employees practice and maintain quality systems to maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). PharmaForm is registered with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
